SP SHOULD HAVE REPORTED MEDICAL POT USER'S PLIGHT
I was frustrated to see that The SP failed to print any articles
concerning the recent troubles suffered by Regina medical marijuana
patient Tom Shapiro.
He suffered a major miscarriage of justice at the hands of the Regina
Police Service simply because Health Canada subjected this legitimate
medical patient to reams of red tape, resulting in a delayed licence
renewal and then a police raid.
Why not report the story of a man who had his medicine taken away
while police saw fit to point a loaded firearm at his stepson before
handcuffing Shapiro and his family for four hours? Does The SP have
no regard for such an important story of a man who had the substance
which enables him to live a productive life taken from him by force?
