A NEW KIND OF PROFILING

While we've all heard of racial profiling, reading The Gazette ("How
to spot a grow house in the 'burbs'," March 2) taught me that there
is also another kind: provincial profiling.

If police claim that a car with Ontario plates parked in the driveway
suggests someone is growing marijuana inside, I should be careful
where I park when I visit family and friends in the West Island, lest
the neighbours snitch on them.

The war on marijuana and marijuana consumers just gets more and more
ridiculous and absurd with each passing day.
