POLICE: SHOOTING MAY BE DRUG-RELATED

Missing Woman May Help Identify Gunmen

MARION OAKS - Marion County sheriff's detectives are searching for a
25- year-old woman who might help them find four masked men who
reportedly shot a 17-year-old to death and critically wounded a
27-year-old man in what appears to be a drug-related home invasion.

Investigators have identified the woman as Summer Dawn Wolfrom.
Wolfrom was described as a white woman with brown hair, 4 feet 11
inches tall, and weighing about 145 pounds.

A witness said Wolfrom was abducted from her own home at 3514 S.W.
147th Lane Road. A woman and several children were present when the
invasion took place. Sheriff's officials did not release the names of
the other woman or the children.

Officials believe Wolfrom is a victim, and do not think she was
involved in the shooting.

"We believe she has valuable information that will help up in this
case," said Maj. Chris Blair, head of the detective bureau.

Detectives said the name of the slain teen is Kindrell Lamar Stocker,
of Ocala. He was not enrolled in school, officials said. Stocker's
wounded companion has been identified as Eddie D. Hamilton, of Ocala.
According to court records, Hamilton was once jailed on charges of
sale and possession of drugs.

Detectives say both Stocker and Hamilton received multiple gunshot
wounds. A neighbor told the Star-Banner that Hamilton's wounds were to
his upper chest, lower left back and in the upper thigh. He was flown
to Shands Hospital in Gainesville, where he underwent surgery and is
listed in stable condition.

"He wasn't bleeding a lot," said Kendra Watson, whose sidewalk was one
of the crime scenes that was roped off by detectives. The sidewalk is
about 75 to 100 yards from the site of the shooting.

On the sidewalk were six small-to medium-sized blood droplets.
Deputies took blood samples as evidence.

Using a flashlight, deputies found cash - mainly 50s and 20s - a bunch
of keys on a strap and two cell phones. Those items were placed in a
brown bag.

Up to 50 men and women from the department's detective bureau and the
county's multi-agency drug task force are working on the case that
spilled over into three separate crime scenes. Two of the scenes were
at homes within a half-mile of each other.

One person has been arrested. Kimberly Marie Henderson, 20, of 14547
S.W. 36th Court, was charged Friday with armed trafficking in cocaine,
possession of marijuana, child neglect and possession of drug
paraphernalia. She is in the Marion County Jail pending payment of
$507,500 bail.

Henderson's home was one of the crime scenes. After Wolfrom was
kidnapped, she was taken to Henderson's home by at least two of the
gunmen, deputies said. The women and the men who were shot were all
friends, deputies said.

Shortly before 7 a.m. on Friday, agents from the Multi-Agency Drug
Enforcement Team and the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Unit
executed a search warrant at Henderson's residence. Once inside,
agents found drugs - including a kilogram of cocaine and more than 20
grams of marijuana - a loaded Taurus PT 140 semi-automatic handgun, a
digital scale, counterfeit cash and other items. Henderson reportedly
refused to talk when questioned by detectives.

This is what detectives and witnesses believe occurred Thursday,
starting at about 11 p.m.:

# Four masked men demanding money barged into Wolfrom's home. She was
in the home with another woman and children.

# Hamilton and Stocker, who were coming from the store for a visit,
entered the home. Shots were fired, and Stocker fell. Hamilton, who
was shot, ran and later collapsed on Watson's sidewalk.

# Authorities said it doesn't appear Hamilton or Stocker had a weapon,
but Hamilton told deputies he tried to grab the gun when he was shot.

# Wolfrom was abducted and taken to Henderson's home. The men again
barged in and demanded money. Officials said Henderson and her child
were in the home.

# During the confrontation, Wolfrom attempted to jump out a back
window of Henderson's home. The suspects and the woman ran away.

# Wolfrom had a neighbor drive her to the Waffle House in Belleview,
where she walked away.

Officials think Wolfrom may now be in her 2006 white Ford Explorer,
with Florida tag number U091CP. There's a $5,000 reward for
information leading to the arrest of the suspects.

"Based on the actions taken and statements made at the scene by the
suspects, we feel it was a drug-related home invasion that turned into
a homicide," said Maj. Terry Bovaird, head of the county's drug unit.

Anyone with any information can call the Sheriff's Office at 732-9111,
or Crime Stoppers at 368-STOP.
