DOG SEARCH ENDS IN TEENS' ARREST

Two teens were arrested after drug sniffing dogs searched Beloit
Turner High School Thursday.

Six dogs were brought to sniff the lockers and the cars in the parking
lot. The dogs alerted on five lockers in the high school and several
more in the junior high, but the only drugs found came from cars in
the parking lot, Town of Beloit Deputy Chief Willis Abegglen said.

[name, age and street redacted] in the Town
of Beloit, was arrested for possession of marijuana, as was a
17-year-old boy, whose name is not being released because of his age,
Abegglen said. The amount found indicated it was for personal use.

The search was organized at the request of school officials. Abegglen
said the department last conducted such a search about seven years
ago.
