MARIJUANA'S HARM CAN'T BE IGNORED
Re: Freedom And Pot, editorial, March 11.
The National Post's editorial writer is wrong. Marijuana is a toxic
and carcinogenic drug (more than 40 carcinogens). It diminishes
response times, decreases motivation and leads to more addictive drugs.
Those who want to privatize health care keep lecturing to the Canadian
public on choosing lifestyles to reduce health care costs. To advocate
the decriminalization of a poison like marijuana is mindless,
unethical, unprincipled and ignorant.
