POT SEEDS TO BRING LIFE IN PRISON?

Our government supports extradition for BC Marijuana Party President
Marc Emery to face a life sentence in a U.S. prison for selling pot
seeds.

Any of three criteria avert this travesty: proof of political
interference by Bush's Drug Enforcement Agency; Canada's legal status
for pot seed sales; or because it shocks the Canadian conscience.

DEA manager, Karen Tandy, clearly acknowledged political interference
by crowing the U.S. and Canadian legislation lobbyists now have one
less pot of money to rely on. Bad pun; shocking admission.

No Canadian has ever been jailed for selling pot seeds.

Implicit approval of pot seed sales became very explicit when Health
Canada issued letters directing medical marijuana patients to buy from
Emery Seeds. And Canada's Revenue Agency gladly accepted nearly
$600,000 in taxes from Marc's declared pot seed sales.

I am one Canadian whose conscience would be deeply shocked if Marc is
extradited for his political activism. I doubt I'm alone.

CHRIS EMERY
