LET'S LIST METH USERS ONLINE
California has a "Megan's Law" site that lists all of the convicted
child molesters and their present addresses if known. I understand
that Oregon is in the process of initiating a similar site. My thought
is: What about a site that lists all convicted meth users and the key
word is convicted?
The convicted meth users would be able to have their name removed from
the site after they have been clean for a two-year period. This would
protect the community and potential employers from the practicing meth
users but would extend help in the way of jobs and support for the
recovering meth user who has a desire to stay clean.
After all, we do publish the names in the papers of all those arrested
for controlled substance abuse, so why not go one step further and
publish them on a Web site?
