WHY NOT TREAT ALL ADDICTIONS?
I think that a crystal meth rehabilitation centre is a great idea, but
I have a few concerns.
Why crystal meth? Why not all drugs? What makes crystal meth so
special?
Also, the idea for a hospital next to the centre is great, but not
actually having the centre as part of the hospital, as that could lead
to somebody high breaking in.
Mixing addicts with hospital patients is not a great
idea.
The government may have given a little too much funding. I mean, $8
million of taxpayers' money to fight meth abuse?
The money would be more worthy for school boards or hospitals, things
that need more urgent funding. Not that meth treatment doesn't need
funding, but the government (and everyone else) may have gone a little
overboard with this whole project.
I hope the government responds to public concerns and plans
carefully.
