SUPPORT AND SOME WORRY OVER METH PLAN
The Editor,
I think a crystal meth rehabilitation centre is a great idea, but I
have a few concerns. Why crystal meth? Why not all drugs? What makes
meth so special?
Also, the idea for a hospital next to the centre is great, but not
actually having the centre as part of the hospital - which could lead
to somebody high breaking in. Mixing addicts with hospital patients
is not a great idea.
The government may have given a little too much funding. I mean, $8
million of taxpayers' money to fight meth abuse? The money would be
more worthy for school boards or hospitals. The government (and
everyone else) may have gone a little overboard with this whole project.
