SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE

Re: Police crack down on marijuana users, April 3.

It would seem that in future, if you feel the onset of a heart attack
you should dial 911 and then drag yourself to the curb if you don't
want ambulance attendants rummaging through your computer looking for
signs of tax evasion, scanning your cupboards for bootleg booze or
checking out your music collection for illegally downloaded music.
Surely, there has to be something wrong with these "first responders"
acting as agents of the police department when called to someone's
home to attend to a medical emergency. Maybe now we have the answer
to the questions surrounding the fire truck stolen from a mall
parking lot -- it was being used as a "bait car" by the firemen to
attract car thieves for the police to chase.
