MARIJUANA, A BRIDGE WE CAN BURN

I would never make it on the police force. I am inclined to obey laws
that make sense.

Of 1,000 plants recovered from Valemount's recent grow-op bust, surely
they could have saved 1% for medicinal purposes.

Doctors prescribe marijuana to relieve pain. I suppose prescription
marijuana must be made from seeds and given out in pill form and
imported from U.S.A. or Mexico.

Surely, we can grow our own seed and make our own pills right here. At
the present time I am suffering from gout, arthritis of the spine, a
pinched nerve, a disconnected right shoulder and pain in the left
shoulder. I need those pills.

My idea is that we could combine marijuana saved from the grow-op with
the native hemp to make rope at half the cost. We could make enough
rope for a swinging bridge that would act as an escape route in case
of fire. If things got really bad we could burn the bridge too, and
get high.

I could supply you with the Indian hemp seed, if you want
some.

Of course, marijuana, the other hemp, is illegal and destroys the
brain, but so does liquor and that is legal. At least marijuana
doesn't cause you to fight. It makes you happy while your brain rots.

Forbidden fruit is always sweeter, so why should we tantalize the
young by forbidding marijuana. Fifty years ago, almost everybody
smoked marijuana, probably even the ones who make the laws. Maybe they
remember what asses they made of themselves.
