OPIUM BAN WORKED
While celebrating the Chinese New Year, we ought to give thanks to the
banning of opium dens in the 19th century - the early version of "harm
reduction." Had those dens been allowed to continue until today, half
of the Chinese population now would be addicted to opium.
Fortunately, today, virtually all Chinese are drug free due to the
wise actions of the past.
