COLORADO AG TAKES OVER EX-SHERIFF SULLIVAN'S METH-FOR-SEX CASE
The investigation of former Arapahoe County Sheriff Patrick J.
Sullivan is now in the hands of the Colorado Attorney General.
At the request of Carol Chambers, Gov. John Hickenlooper signed an
executive order appointing the Attorney General as a special
prosecutor, according to a press release from her office.
Sullivan, 68, is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine,
distribution of methamphetamine, attempting to influence a public
servant and misdemeanor solicitation of a prostitute in a sting set
up by police Nov. 29.
He allegedly agreed to trade methamphetamine for sex with a male acquaintance.
