DISPENSE POT IN PHARMACIES

Re "Feds' crackdown has upside for growers: Pot prices rising" (The
Buzz, Dec. 12): Call me naive, but when I voted to legalize marijuana
to ease the suffering of cancer patients and others with chronic pain
I thought it would be dispensed by someone in a white coat in a
pharmacy, not in a shabby storefront next door to a tattoo parlor.

Little did I realize that my vote was giving an OK for hundreds of
these shops to open statewide.

I want my "yes" vote back. When the active ingredients of this product
are isolated and sold as a legitimate drug in a drugstore, I'll
restore my "yes" vote.

Sacramento County supervisors got it right with their
restrictions.
