MARIJUANA DOESN'T BELONG IN A CLASS WITH HEROIN, METHAMPHETAMINE
The time is long overdue to remove the classification of marijuana
from its current category, which it shares with LSD, heroin and
methamphetamine. ["Long battle over pot gets high-level help," page
one, Dec. 1.]
It completely boggles my mind to understand how this mild narcotic,
which may be easily compared to drinking a glass of red wine, ever got
into this category in the first place.
