SEEKING STRONGER STRAIN
Columnist Dan Gardner's arguments make perfect sense to marijuana
consumers.
Health-conscious marijuana smokers deliberately seek out the strongest
strains of marijuana available.
Potent pot means less smoke inhalation. One or two small puffs will
yield the desired result. Assuming marijuana smoke is indeed bad for
lungs, isn't reduced smoke inhalation a good thing?
Drug warriors no doubt fail to appreciate the inconsistencies in their
fear mongering. Part of the problem lies in hiring criteria. Ignorance
is a prerequisite for employment.
The emphasis on "drug-free" backgrounds for drug warrior positions
ensures that those least knowledgeable about the effects and use of
illegal drugs are charged with enforcing laws against them.
