Viva Marijuana!
It is certainly true that marijuana is stronger now than when I was a
pothead in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Marijuana farmers have
behaved in the same way as other farmers. They have, over the passage
of time, improved their crop. If marijuana is ever legalized here, the
government will have to regulated to make sure it isn't too potent.
And if you're one of those who opposes regulation, let's make a deal.
You fly in on an airplane that isn't regulated by the Federal Aviation
Administration. I'll fly in one that is overseen by the government.
See who is safer. Besides, if you needed a lot of regulators, then you
would need a lot more government employees with safe, secure jobs -
the way it should be.
How can anyone deny that substantial tax revenues will be generated by
taxing marijuana? Those staid, conservatives who are biased against
pot are also against prosperity and happiness. Nonetheless, the
country that has a dire need for change that is just a short drive
away is Mexico. Viva marijuana!
