ARE ALL DISPENSARY CLERKS POT USERS?

Re: "No guns for pot users" (Thursday):

There's a bit of a disconnect in this article. What does a pot user's
inability to buy/own/posses a weapon have to do with a clerk's ability
to own a weapon for personal protection? The article goes into detail
regarding the federal law as it applies to medical marijuana and gun
control. But in the middle of the article there suddenly appears a
quote from a pot store owner who says essentially that this federal
law prohibits his clerks from protecting themselves.

Are we to assume all medical marijuana store clerks have prescriptions
for marijuana? Why am I not surprised.
