WILL COUNTY JUDGES ARE STUCK IN 1800S
As I sat in a courtroom at the Will County
Courthouse I listened to a couple of cases.
I heard things like a guy trying to pick up two
young girls on the Internet, domestic violence =AD
a couple of them were with intent to do bodily
harm and a couple of them were with causing
permanent damage; some were fights with police
officers. All of these people had their bail set
at no more than $5,000, which means they needed
$500 to walk out of jail. Then I saw a sick man
with diabetes, who has trouble seeing and hearing
from what I could tell, who had his bail set at $150,000.
What is going on in Illinois? Sixteen states have
medical marijuana, and more states are soon to
follow, and we set bail for people who are
beating their family members lower than a man who possesses marijuana.
Look what just happened to the man in Lockport
who had his bail set at $300. He went home and
allegedly killed his wife, while a sick man is in
jail for having marijuana. Good job Will County
judges. Good to see you are still stuck in the 1800s.
