MARIJUANA DISPENSARY BAN ALL ABOUT IMAGE
Let me get this straight: We're going to ban medical marijuana
dispensaries so that criminals are not making money off them. So,
according to Kern County supervisors, the criminals are going to just
go away when the new ordinance takes effect?
I'll put it this way: No person who uses marijuana illegally is
worried that they're going to run out of supply. It's the ones who
use it legally because of real medical conditions who will end up
having to buy it on the streets, thereby making criminals of themselves.
The Board of Supervisors has shown no compassion to the people who
need this stuff just to give the appearance that it's tough on drugs.
But here's the rub: The supervisors don't care about the pot. They
care about appearance. They want to get re-elected by the
ultra-conservatives in this town. Being a conservative/libertarian
myself, I have to ask: What happened to the government staying out of
our lives?
