MEDICAL POT, WELFARE AREN'T SOLUTIONS
Prescription "marijuana" pills are out there for patients who actually
need them. Marinol, Canasol and Nabilone for things like nausea,
vomiting, anorexia, AIDS or related weight loss, introcular
pressure-glaucoma, and eh E terminal illnesses. Pot advocates want
everything legalized to get high and grow without getting put in jail.
In our society today a convicted felon and registered narcotics
offender can have a child and collect welfare even though they have
been disqualified from welfare benefits for themselves because of the
felonies. They can use their MediCal (your tax dollars) to see the
doctor for "back pain" creating a history of documentation of
so-called "chronic pain," then get a recommendation for pot with that
child's cash aid. They can also obtain a prescription for narcotics
and sell them to fund their meth habits.
There is no communication between the welfare department, narcotics
offender registry or any doctors.
I have personal experience seeing this situation happen and am now a
part in raising that child born into this unfortunate situation of
welfare abuse and the drug addiction of an unfit mother. This entire
system is being abused. I urge everyone out there to vote no in the
June elections for the marijuana ordinance. There are prescription
pill options already out there for the people that are truly in need
of it. We need to urge all the above-mentioned departments and doctors
to start communicating. Or maybe welfare is now disability also?
