RESPONSE TO 'NOT-SO-THOUGHTFUL LETTER'
I'm writing about the not-so-thoughtful letter from Theresa Froehlich,
"Marijuana more harmful than cigarettes" [Northwest Voices, June 24].
Marijuana contains no nicotine, the main heart-disease causing and
cancer-spreading ingredient of tobacco. Our annual
tobacco-versus-marijuana kill ratio is about 430,000-to-zero.
In fact, marijuana has never been documented to kill anybody in the
5,000 history of its use.
So why does Froehlich want marijuana to remain completely unregulated,
untaxed and controlled by criminals?
