A NEW BATTLE PLAN
I hope I am not the only one who read the June 21 editorial on the war
on drugs. It sickens me to think there are individuals out there who
really think that we should legalize marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and
methamphetamines. Those individuals need an education on how addictive
these drugs are and what effects they have on the individual using
them.
If these drugs were legalized, our youth would have greater access and
be more inclined to try them for the first time. Our youth already has
too much access to alcohol.
Yes, we are losing the war on drugs. So, let's find a better way to
win the war then legalization. Our federal and state governments need
to get on the same page with regards to marijuana to start. If
marijuana is needed for medical reasons, then why hasn't the FDA
approved it? Why isn't it prescribed by your family doctor?
