POT ADVOCATE TO DISCUSS LEGALIZATION INITIATIVE
The Linn-Benton chapter of the Pacific Green Party is sponsoring a
talk by the chief petitioner of the Oregon Cannabis Tax Act, Paul
Stanford, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, at the Westminster House, 101
N.W. 23rd St.
Stanford hopes to qualify the measure for the 2012
ballot.
If approved by voters, the Oregon Cannabis Tax Act would control
marijuana in a manner similar to alcohol. It would be regulated and
taxed by the state, thereby generating revenue and eliminating costs
of enforcing the current restrictions, supporters say.
