ANTWERP TOWNSHIP APPROVES MEDICAL MARIJUANA ORDINANCE
MATTAWAN -- The Antwerp Township Board of Trustees has approved a
medical marijuana ordinance within residential and agricultural districts.
"You can't have it in commercial zones," Clerk Heather Mitchell
said.
Clinics have to be at least 1,000 feet outside of school
zones.
The ordinance had been approved both by the township and county
planning commissions and is similar to most other such ordinance,
according to Mitchell.
One difference is in the number of people that can be customers at
once. "There can only be one person that is picking up the medical
marijuana at a time," Mitchell said.
