KEEP IT SIMPLE ON MARIJUANA ORDINANCE
It appears our beautiful state has gone to pot.
The potheads want to grow and sell their drugs and ruin their lives
instead of working and paying taxes like the majority of society.
Butte County and the city of Chico need to realize the dope growers
are not going to give up this lazy, nonproductive lifestyle. They won,
we lost. Our compassion for sick people just opened a giant can of
nasty worms.
That being said, why don't we be smart and keep it simple, just like
the city of Biggs did? Make them keep their marijuana garden out of
sight. Growers could build a small shed that would not require a
permit and lock it up, or turn lose their beloved pit bulls for
security. That would eliminate the majority of problems.
Although I completely agree with Larry Wahl, I don't think his stance
will win the majority vote with either the Butte County supervisors or
the Chico City Council. The Biggs solution is a very simple viable
solution to a growing problem. We don't need new laws and enforcement
concerns, we just need to remember the KISS solution: Keep It Simple
Supervisors.
