BACK CHAT

Readers appear generally supportive of dozens of Mission homeowners
who are suing their city after they were fined up to $10,000 for
marijuana grow-op inspections, even when they were found to be
innocent. Join the conversation at: theprovince.com/opinion

FIGHT THE FASCISTS

Good. I hope they win. Show these fascist pigs what's
what.

STREET PROTESTS

Let's take action the European way. Let's hit the streets with a
massive protest demonstration over this abuse. These politicians are
out of control. We are losing our rights, people.

LEGAL ACTION

Coquitlam is getting sued big-time for doing the same thing. They
stopped it when the first guy sued, and then everyone got on-board
who'd been charged these rates.

READING OUTRAGE

This is so outrageous! Can't Mission read the constitution and the
Charter?

PAY FOR OWN MISTAKE

Although I don't support the use of this drug, I have a problem with
civil servants showing up on the "guess" of a grow-op. If a grow-op is
found, then throw the book at them. But if not, they do not have the
right to hand a bill to a homeowner for their mistake.

ELECTORATE ABUSED

It's another example of an egotistic city council running roughshod
over the electors. Remember these councils, people, come November. And
in Vancouver, remember the waste of time and moneys for underused bike
lanes.

JUSTIFIED CHARGES

Sock it to them! Mission knows it's wrong. Time they paid up and then
some, including general and special damages, plus interest and court
costs.

BYLAW ISSUES

How ridiculous for the citizens of Mission to be subjected to this
intrusive, invasive and not-verywell-thought-out bylaw.

SAVE YOUR POWER

Stop wasting valuable energy and you won't be targeted.

TOTAL SUPPORT

Bravo for being proactive in protecting not only your basic rights,
but those of your neighbours too!

BIG BROTHER BOTHER

Yet another example of Big Brother stepping on the rights of ordinary
citizens. It's only going to get worse with right-wing Prime Minister
Stephen Harper.

CIVIL UNREST

I was OK with these people suing Mission for repairs until the B.C.
Civil Liberties stepped in.
