FIX, DON'T NIX
The current legislative debate over the Montana Medical Marijuana Act
shows the cowardice of our elected officials in a way I never expected.
The liberal Democrats are nowhere to be seen, having turned over a
private medical issue to the local sheriffs. The police would never
release any information on your private habits.
The middle-of-the-road Republicans, intimidated by a toothless threat
from a federal attorney, are cowering in the corner like a 2-year-old
who has received a scolding from Mommy. The feds have been so
efficient on the war on drugs, they had to find the place with the
grow lights on Hwy. 12 to make a bust.
The tea party Republicans, have thrown away all of their libertarian
ideals and tossed the Tenth Amendment into the trash. What about
state's rights?
Shame! A shame on all of you!
It remains to be seen if the governor will hear what the people said
when they approved the referendum by a wide majority.
Veto the bill.
Try again next time to improve the system, but continue to bust the
ones who take advantage of the will of the people.
