'THE SCIENCE OF CANNABIS'
I am writing to congratulate Montana PBS for a wonderful job. Last
night I watched their new special "The Science of Cannabis" and I
learned a great deal. The investigation sheds light on the facts of
marijuana and I am disturbed by the disparity between what science is
telling us and what the federal government is telling us. After
watching the program it seems obvious that prohibition is being
sustained by the pharmaceutical industry in an effort to eliminate
competition. I find it ironic that doctors hesitate to recommend
cannabis yet they will happily set you up with a prescription
medication that has a plethora of side effects. "The Science of
Cannabis" is well made and it presents both sides of the issue, and
comes from a respectable, unbiased source. I recommend that everyone
watch this TV program, it is an outstanding piece of journalism. It is
available online at the Montana PBS website.
