Guess who is the most thrilled about these busts? These guys'
competitors.
Every time the cops tear out a grow-op, they make the 90-95 per cent
of grows -the ones they will never catch -all that much more valuable.
In this way, the police are subsidizing the gangsters they don't
catch. They know this, too, which leads me to wonder just which side
of the law they are really on.
