TILTING WINDMILLS

Times headline: "Mexico-bound traffic may face customs
check."

Stop the flow of guns and cash into Mexico?

Like airport security, it's another waste of taxpayer
dollars!

Why?

Cartels can purchase arms by the boatload from international arms
dealers. Simply put, cartels wouldn't miss what little weaponry they
currently purchase from USA flea markets, gun shows and unscrupulous
dealers.

Additionally, any Mexican with property, a job or a business is now a
candidate for extortion and/or kidnapping throughout Mexico. An entire
nation is being victimized.

Cash from these and other non-drug crimes committed throughout Mexico
must be so enormous it's no longer necessary that USA drug profits be
smuggled into Mexico.

Restricting this flow of cartel cash will merely encourage cartels to
use USA drug profits to expand USA criminal operations.

USA streets may then be wrought with the same cartel non-drug criminal
activities that have paralyzed Juarez.

It's not a drug war. It's a turf war, and it is slowly moving onto our
turf!

Allowing innocent Mexicans arms to defend themselves may be the only
solution to this crisis other than sending in the U.S. Marines!
