LET'S NOT FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT WITH FAILED TACTICS
Peter Maresch's fear of legalising drugs is understandable but the
huge profits reaped by criminal pushers ensure a ready market for any
child inclined to experiment.
The difference between a controlled and a black market is that if
drugs were legalised, an addict would more readily seek help and the
suppliers would not recruit him to push drugs if he was unable to pay
for his habit. Education about the horrors of addiction, as soon as
practicable, is the key.
