SHASTA LAKE COUNCIL APPROVES SALE OF PIPES, ROLLING PAPERS
After little discussion and no public input, the Shasta Lake City
Council voted Tuesday night to allow medical marijuana collectives to
sell rolling papers and pipes.
The council approved the ordinance 4-1, with Councilman Larry Farr
dissenting. No one in the audience of about 10 people spoke up.
At its Dec. 7 meeting the council directed the city staff to revise
the ordinance after the staff recommended against allowing the sales.
The new law allows sales of pipes and rolling papers and prohibits
other drug paraphernalia.
