AG'S LINKING OF POT BUST AND MEDICAL MARIJUANA

Re: "Smokescreen for pot ring; Marijuana traffickers grew plants
under the guise of patient care, then sold them out of state,
authorities say," Jan. 8 news story.

As a medical cannabis patient, I've had it. Attorney General John
Suthers has gone too far. He has no compassion for patients. In the
four years I've held a legitimate license, I have never felt more
personally insulted by a state official. No wonder many people who use
pot medically are paranoid about coming out of the closet and applying
for the registry. It only makes sense to be paranoid when officials
are so obviously disdainful of your medical freedom of choice, as well
as your state constitutional rights. It looks like they are out to get
us.

The next time I see a pot legalization issue on the ballot, I'm voting
"yes." The so-called potheads are kinder. Jesus tells me that I'll
know fellow Christians by their love and compassion. The people I've
met among marijuana patients have been kind and caring. They aren't
hurting anybody, but John Suthers is.
