ASHAMED OF GRASS VALLEY

Except for Councilperson Lisa Swarthout, I am ashamed of the whole
community of Grass Valley over the ban on medical marijuana dispensaries.

As Ms. Swarthout pointed out it would be outside of the main town.
All of the school superintendents, teachers, and principals were all
for this ban due to kids being exposed to this, which they already are!

None of us deny the harmful effects of this substance, as well as
hard booze, tobacco, and legal hard drugs. It seems that they all
don't have a problem - including the police chief - of all the bars
and mini-markets that sell these!

Where is this so-called protection of the children from this
exposure? The police chief had this chart at the meeting of the
effects of pot. Has the same effects from beer! I had proposed at the
meeting to have the dispensary at the G.V.P.D. station, that way it
can be monitored. The statement "people go down to Sacramento for
Costco and it should be the same for those who need pot" was
shameful. Cancer patients have to obtain their pot through the black
market. Where is the compassion? Shame on you all!
