GROUP FAILS TEST NEEDED FOR MEDICAL POT PERMIT

STOCKTON - A group whose medical marijuana dispensary application was
disqualified for failure to take a city-mandated test won its appeal
this week - and then failed the test, an official said.

Health Choice Inc. had argued that Stockton officials didn't give it
adequate notice of a required test on medical marijuana laws. An
administrative hearing officer agreed Wednesday.

The group took the test Friday, Deputy City Attorney Guy Petzold
said, and did not pass.

Nine applicants are competing for three city dispensary permits under
Stockton's new medical marijuana ordinance.
