CONSTITUENTS ARE WATCHING
I am insulted by the selfish, ignorant decision made by our
Republican representatives when they supported the repeal of medical
marijuana. I dare any supporter to read a legitimate drug and alcohol
textbook and still say marijuana is worse than alcohol. The hypocrisy
is unbelievable and yet that isn't the worst of it. To me the worst
offense is their calloused indifference in failing to uphold the
ideal of freedom. We cannot claim to be the land of the free when we
imprison people who make life choices we disagree with. It is a vast
overexertion of government to try and control what an individual does
in the privacy of their own home. I am surprised Republicans have not
been more supportive of medicinal marijuana. This is a new
agricultural industry primarily made of small independent businesses.
I believe that the law needs some revisions, it would be more
sensible to create licensed patients, dispensaries and growers. Our
representatives should take careful consideration ! when making
decisions; the populace is waiting and watching to see how the
Republicans handle themselves when given a measure of responsibility.
Montanans voted overwhelmingly for medicinal marijuana, and blindly
ignoring your constituents is unwise.
