MEDICAL MARIJUANA REPEAL SHOULD BE PUT TO THE PEOPLE
Editor's note: The following letter is written In response to Rep.
Gordon Hendrick, who defended his vote to repeal the Medical Marijuana
initiative.
In response to Rep. Gordon Hendrick:
Simple, Gordon. Put it up to a vote. But then the Republicans would
have to show proof of their misrepresentations. This is why I am
getting a recall for you. I only need 15 percent. I believe that
amount of people will sign as we would like to have a vote.
What part of overturning the initiative is not reeking of heavy handed
government? You and the legislature have overturned a vote of the
people. You have used your position not to help clear up problems but
to cause them. The legislature has had three sessions to tweak the
initiative but you would rather destroy a vote rather than truly support it.
"Let the vote stand" simply means what it says. Just because you are
personally against the initiative process you should remember what you
told me of how the people's initiative should be PROTECTED. Remember.
Even many of your loyal supporters have contacted you and told you
that this vote to overturn the initiative was WRONG.
JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE A WAY TO DO SOMETHING does that make it morally
correct? Your defense was used in USSR for decades.
So now Republicans are against business. Who else are you going to lie
and deceive?
I am just wanting the people to vote on how they feel about your
saying one thing and doing another. It may be Montana Politics but we
should see how things go. Checks and Balances.
Also the continued use of opiates over time causes liver failure. Ever
talk to a doctor before getting your opinion? You know a professional
who can answer your questions and give you medical facts.
If you look you can find that the Republicans and government officials
are doing an end around. To garner support for people to have to get
multiple doctors to sign off on medical marijuana, higher registration
fees, and lots of other big government ideals. First repeal the
initiative, then offer to make a new law with the above mentioned
articles, thus no one who wants to lose medical marijuana will not
support the NEW DEAL.
Can you understand the backdoor ways of this Legislature?
