DISPENSARY! UNDER ANY OTHER NAME
Many of you are aware of the passage of Proposition 203 legalizing
medical marijuana.
The Arizona Department of Health Services has been seeking public
comments on the drafts rules.
One topic that has not been addressed is on-site advertising,
specifically that which appears on the front of the dispensary and/or lot.
I have submitted the following for officials' consideration regarding
"acceptable" signage.
"Dispensary" is acceptable and recognizable as to the service/product
it provides to those in need of those services/products.
Given the controversial and emotional subject matter, I believe words
such as marijuana, pot, head-shop, grass, etc., are not necessary and
SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED.
I would encourage those who agree to voice your opinion to the
Arizona Department of Health Services, Kingman City Planning and
Zoning, and Mohave County Planning and Zoning.
