MARIJUANA EDITORIAL ALL LIES
Re: Marijuana Users Seek Elusive Legitimacy (We Say editorial).
The reason we have trouble attaining legitimacy is because of
misinformation propaganda campaigns like this atrocious article!
"They're entitled to their beliefs, but they aren't entitled to break
the law." Even if the law is absurd, onerous, counterproductive, and
is unconstitutional. The message being, "Just obey. That is all."
The evidence supporting pot's ability to relieve pain is well
documented, as is its safety and efficacy in treating many other
conditions. The only reason some people still feel it is somehow
dangerous is because people keep mentioning that is is somehow
dangerous, but never fully prove it. Like this article. Nothing but
fear-mongering bird-cage-liner.
"Unfortunately, marijuana has a multitude of chemicals in it, and many
of them are clearly bad for your health. The drug boosts your heart
rate, distorts perception, creates difficulties for memory and
learning, and impairs co-ordination. Heavy usage has been found to
lead to hallucinations, delusions, impaired memory and
disorientation." Lies. All easily debunked, if one takes the time to
use an interesting new tool called "google."
I deeply resent this article as it is basically propaganda and you
should all be ashamed of yourselves. You are promoting stigmatization
of marijuana users, and if I had the financial wherewithal, I would
sue your paper right out of business for this discrimination.
