MAKE THE CASE

Re: "The merits of marijuana," by Greg Stone, Community Voices, Oct.
24: I'm 100 percent for the use of cannabis to relieve the pain
caused by Mr. Stone's medical condition, but if he's going to make
the case for legalization, make the case.

The degrading statement he made about "weak minds" is not indicative
of his education - it's plain old cutting. Statements like that do
not further his cause, or any other cause.

If he uses cannabis for "entertainment, enlightenment, art work,
etc.," it brings up a couple of my own questions. First: the strength
of his mind. Second: the long-term effects of continued use of
cannabis. See what I mean?
