IGNORANT MARIJUANA PROHIBITION
Dear Editor of the Lumberjack,
Not many things point out the ignorance of cannabis (marijuana)
prohibition quite like the federal government's Schedule system. As
Nicholas Preciado pointed out (Proposition 19: Possible Permissible
Pot, Oct. 27, 2010), cannabis is a Schedule I substance, along with
heroin, while meth and cocaine are only Schedule II substances. It's
no wonder citizens across the U.S. ignore the government's cannabis message.
