PROPOSITION 19 STINKS
Marijuana that our neighbor is growing, practically in our own
backyard, is stinking up the whole neighborhood, morning, noon and
night. We thought it was skunks inhabiting our area until another
neighbor told us what it really was.
Twelve years we have been able to open our windows to get the
wonderfully cool autumn breezes in the morning and evening. The last
three years that has been impossible because of the stink of marijuana
growing under our noses. We tried to save on our electric bills by
opening the windows morning and evening to pull in the cool air. Not
anymore. Too smelly. For two to three months, every year, 24/7, we
have the marijuana skunk stink that permeates the whole north Chico
area. Our neighbor is growing upwards of 36 plants. It not only stinks
up the neighborhood, it has drawn in more and more traffic, coming and
going for who knows what.
It is impossible to work in the yard anymore. I get an intense
headache just from the smell, not to say anything about the stress of
having this major operation going on in our area.
What makes it really weird is that he doesn't even live in the house
where he grows it. He doesn't have to smell what the rest of us get.
Really "neighborhood friendly." We get the nighttime flood lights, the
barking guard dog and the STINK. Wonderful quality of life in suburban
Chico.
Vote no on Proposition 19, legalizing marijuana in California.
