END THE GRAVY TRAIN
Dear Editor
I need to respond to the anti-Prop. 19 piece in the Oct. 14th
edition.
Marijuana is the largest cash crop in the state and nation. Not one
penny is taxed. All those boat loads of money go right to the criminals.
Law enforcement is against taxing and regulating marijuana like
alcohol.
Why?
The government gives out BILLIONS of our tax dollars to law
enforcement to go after marijuana.
The passage of Prop. 19 will end law enforcement's gravy train of
money.
Right now, every high school kid is only a text away from marijuana.
Taxed and regulated marijuana would make it harder for kids to get
marijuana.
Ever see kids selling booze at school?
Saying Prop. 19 is poorly written is an easy jab. No new law is going
to be perfect and will need adjusting. All the things law enforcement
digs up against Prop. 19 are the same old things they said about Prop.
215 that never came to light. They are just looking to save their overtime.
We need to change a failed policy. Please vote yes on Prop.
19.
Do it for the children.
