MARIJUANA'S MANY MEDICINAL BENEFITS

Re: Pot Is Not A Harmless Drug, letter to the editor, Sept. 13.

Cannabis has always been the safest and most widely used medicine for
humans. It is safer than birth, drinking water, eating, breathing air
in many urban areas, having sex or playing golf on a Sunday.

The reason is simple -- people die from all the above, but no human
has ever died from consuming cannabis.

Two out of three Americans die from food. Almost half a million die
annually from tobacco, and legal drugs kill far more people than
illicit drugs.

Prohibition is the problem, not the drugs the state doesn't want to
tax and regulate.
