MARIJUANA WILL NOT DRIVE YOU CRAZY
Editor:
I have scoured the planet seeking out and growing some of the most
potent strains of cannabis and I have never had a single
hallucination from any of it - nor do I know anyone who has.
Why is that?
If Canada has "the highest per capita users of marijuana in the
world," why don't our schizophrenia rates reflect that?
If what the CMHA is claiming is true, we should have much higher
schizophrenia rates than most any other country, but that is not the case.
In fact, Canada has some of the lowest incidences of schizophrenia in
the world.
I know several people who legally use cannabis regularly for the
treatment of depression and other mental-health issues.
If cannabis causes schizophrenia, why are doctors prescribing it for
depression, anxiety and other neuropathic conditions?
My parents' generation did not fall for "reefer madness," mine did
not fall for the "gateway theory" and my children's generation will
not fall for "pot will make you crazy" - mainly because none of it is true.
