MEXICAN DRUG TRADE OFF

The new drug legalization bill that Mexico looks like it has decided
not to pass after all could have worked out fine for everyone
("Mexico surprised by reaction to drug bill," May 4 and TribLIVE.com).

Hardworking Mexican nationals would migrate north to the United
States to do "the work Americans won't do" and our nation's
underbelly of coked-out criminals, smack addicts and lazy potheads
could have headed south to do the drugs that Mexicans won't do.
