ATTORNEYS TO CLARIFY MEDICAL MARIJUANA LAW
Two attorneys will give an explanation of Michigan's medical marijuana
law for employers at the next HelpNet Leadership Oasis public lecture
series.
James Helminski and Joshua Britton of the Grand Rapids law firm
Bleakley, Cypher, Parent, Warren and Quinn P.C. will help employers
decide what to do when an applicant screens positive for marijuana but
is registered to use it, or when an employee requests a break to
consume marijuana while on the job.
The event will be from noon to 1 p.m. Sept. 14 at Burnham Brook
Community Center, 200 W. Michigan Ave. Box lunches are available with
preregistration for $6.85 each. Register with Lisa Briggs by e-mailing
briggsl@trinity-health.org or calling 660-3896.
