ROYAL OAK: POT PROPOSALS LIKELY TO DRAW CROWD
Royal Oak City Manager Don Johnson said he expects a huge crowd at
tonight's City Commission meeting for debates on medical-marijuana
proposals.
They include a request from a robotics firm owner to open what could
be Michigan's largest medical-marijuana growing facility in an empty
warehouse that faces foreclosure, a request from a Troy lawyer whose
client would open a dispensary for medical marijuana in the heart of
downtown, and a request from City Commissioner Chuck Semchena for
zoning changes to ban virtually all medical-marijuana
transactions.
The meeting is at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall, 300 Williams St.
