FOCUS ON REAL CRIMINALS, LEAVE POTHEADS ALONE
Re: 'Cops want help in island drug fight' (Daily News, July 24)
I am more then happy to give you my opinion on the Gabriola Island
grow ops.
First, it's starting to look like if you kill a human you only get
maybe 10 years in jail.
Second, if you rape someone you again get a maximum of 10 years in
jail. I find it funny that instead of protecting the people from
killers and rapists or making harsher laws against these kind of
people the police are asking for help to find big, bad, pot growers.
Now, I can understand that houses can get wrecked by grow ops. Still
think about it, if you make pot legal, people would probably buy the
house and find ways not to wreck it or just grow it out in the open.
I'd rather see a killer in jail for longer then 10 years than a person
who grew a little dope. Make pot legal for people over a certain age
and keep the people who should be in jail longer: or just get rid of
them,
The world would be a much nicer place to live in with a bunch of pot
heads than killers. I still don't understand when I pick up a paper to
read why I see killers and rapists getting pretty much no jail time.
